“According to the latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran’s exports to Indonesia, during the first seven months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21- October 22, 2018), has increased 43 percent in terms of value compared to the same time in the preceding year,” the public relations department of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPO) quoted Iran’s Commercial attaché to Indonesia as saying.

“Iran exported $402 million of goods to Indonesia in the said period, which shows 43 percent growth in comparison with its previous $280 million in the year before,” Anvar Kamari said.
“In terms of weight, the seven-months-exports registered 10 percent increase,” he added.

As the commercial attaché said, the mostly exported goods to Indonesia in the said time span included $220 million of iron and steel, with the growth of 74 percent year-on-year, $160 million of fuels and mineral oils, $10.3 million of chemicals, and $6.2 million of plastic products.

Iran’s exports to Indonesia in the last Iranian calendar year 1396 (ending on March 20, 2018) stood at $660 million and the figure is expected to reach $900 million by this yearend, the same report confirmed./ Tehran times /
